Election 2024: An early look at who will be on November ballot

Along with the presidential race, there are several key elections and amendment measures in the state of Florida and Palm Beach County at stake in the Nov. 5 general election.

Here’s an early look at the November ballot (”I” indicates Incumbent):

U.S. Senate: Rick Scott (I-GOP) vs. Debbie Mucarsel-Powell (DEM) vs. Ben Everidge (IND)

State attorney: Alexcia Cox (DEM) vs. Sam Stern (GOP); replaces threeterm State Attorney Dave Aronberg

Sheriff: Ric Bradshaw (I-DEM) vs. Michael Gauger (GOP)

Palm Beach County Commissioner District 7: Bobby Powell (DEM) vs. Leonard Serratore (GOP); seat vacated by term-limited Mack Bernard

Palm Beach County Commissioner District 3: Michael Barnett (I-GOP) vs. Joel Flores (DEM)

Amendment 1: Changes school board elections from nonpartisan to partisan beginning in the November 2026 general election and for primary elections nominating party candidates for the 2026 election.

Amendment 2: Establishes a state constitutional right to hunt and fish.

Amendment 3: Legalize marijuana for adults 21 years and older.

Amendment 4: Establish a constitutional right to abortion before fetal viability (generally considered to be between 23 and 24 weeks gestational age).

Amendment 5: Provide for an annual inflation adjustment for the value of the homestead property tax exemption.

Amendment 6: Repeal a constitutional provision providing for public campaign financing for candidates who agree to spending limits.
